ASGER JUEL LARSEN

Asger Juel Larsen is a designer that marks and merits the adventurous and rule breaking reinvention of modern menswear. Hailing from Denmark but truely establishing his art in the UK, Asger graduated 'top of the class' at the London College of Fashion in 2009 with a BA Menswear Degree, Asger has since then conquered the masters at the same institution. His aesthetics have been consistently evolving during the academic time frame, illustrating ambition and flare in the imagination. And with placements alongside John Richmond and Burberry Prorsum included in the tapestry of his background, the platform and landscape for Asger's future collections is bright. His designs are an intoxicating medley of the past and future, taking inspiration from historical events and fusing it into a futuristic sci-fi sphere. The clash of textures play with ideas of masculine strength and vulnerability. Asger's aesthetics are both industrial and romantic, taking the gothic and androgynous to new levels of sophistication and depth.

BARBARA I GONGINI

The aim of the company is to create Nordic clothing based on a conceptual approach to the process, where experiments with forms provide the setting for the visual motive in the design.

Barbara í Gongini creates clothing, which is at the leading edge of the trade. Barbara í Gongini furthermore participates very actively in the artistic debate in the Nordic countries. During the work, interdisciplinary co-operation with other artists within music, photography, film, etc, is emphasised and this co-operation nourishes inspiration during the design process itself.

Barbara í Gongini comprises two lines of women’s wear: BARBARA I GONGINI main line, and THE BLACK LINE a diffusion line.

BARBARA í GONGINI  – Is the creative part of the two lines where play and experiments are tested based on varying themes and it is here that art and design meet.
The results of the above process form the basic elements in the other part of the collection and present the subtle profile of the brand.

BJØRG JEWELLERY

"Bjørg grew up surrounded by the arctic nature in the North of Norway and began making one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces in 2004. Her jewels are widely recognized for their playfulness and unpolished elegance.

Always unpredictable, balancing the fine and the raw, the jewels are made of natural, precious and pure materials. Bjørg releases one main collection per year, which foundation is silver, gold and bronze and the constant experimentation with organic materials like uncut diamonds, butterflies, horse hair and leather.

The aesthetics have been shaped through the mantra "beauty of imperfection". Every collection follows in the tradition of its root concept. The new 2012 collection invokes the concepts of time-travel and the possibility of a parallel universe.

BLAKE

BLAKE is a contemporary womens wear brand - launching it's first collection "Smoke and Mirrors" ss12.

BLAKE is a cameleon - coming off as clean cut and simple only to reveal an array of details that surprises in combination.

BLAKE is living the easy life with a definite edge.

Founded in Copenhagen with focus on Scandinavian simplicity - reflecting the clear nordic light in lines and life style. Contrasted by rough contours and stark details - drawing from a core inspiration of dark classic motifs set in an everyday scenario to give them a lighter air. The silhouette is fluid and elongated with a recognizable touch of New York inspired go-to chic - aiming to lend a comfortable edge to wardrobe favorites.

Subsequently, 2004 proved to be an even broader year for recognition as he was awarded “Wedding Gown of the Year” by the Royal Court Theatre in Denmark. DOUBLEYOU PERFUME

DoubleYou Perfume, the first project of Cath Røsseland under this name, celebrates the scent, or the sense of smelling. Inspired by the founder's own story that lead to an exploration of the varied constitution of an individual's identity, we have created a set of scents that expresses the contrasts each and every one of us discovers when confronted with a multitude of memories, feelings, influences and surroundings in connection to our own lives and stories. Exploring the varied constitution of an identity both DoubleYou perfume capture the sensations of two distant worlds. From the dramatic rugged mountain tops and glacial landscapes of western Norway to the spice-and flower infused scents of the island Zanzibar, DoubleYou Norvège and DoubleYou Zanzibar express the contrasts that we are faced with and the challenge to balance the ephemeral shape of our bodies, the evolving condition of our minds, and the eternal, appeasing state of our souls.

DMAJUSCULE/

Staying in just one place is like reading only one page of a book. I believe most of my inspiration and differences reflected in my work come from moving around the world…

My curiosity towards other cultures and places is as strong as the passion I put into the innovation of my creations. But I believe that what forges your personality the most is what you go through as a child. Trought my father's passion for architecture I was immersed in art and found myself naturally drawn into exploring the creative route...

Adding to that the way I adventurously grew up between Yugoslavia, Norway and Italy, countries that are submerged with contrasts and that broadened my vision, stimulating my interest and will to express myself into my work.

ODEUR

Odeur was founded in Stockholm in 2006 as a brand experiment, using a specific white, light and clean scent instead of a visual logotype to label the graphic and dramatic, yet playful garments. The first collection included a few t-shirt styles that where distributed amongst a few initial clients in Sweden and Japan.

Today Odeur is designed by Petter Hollström and Gorjan Lauseger and has spread to 17 countries, selling jeans, outerwear, accessories and fashion clothing. The collection is represented at, amongst others, Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong, Temporary Showroom in Berlin, Oki-Ni in London and OAK NYC in New York.

THE BLACK LINE

THE BLACK LINE Is a simplification of the above and is the more commercial line of the collection and the purpose is to create a more basic line of women’s wear with a very personal and original expression of form.

UNCOMMON CREATURES

The independent brand uncommon creatures was founded by Jens Kold-Christensen and Christina Højris Ottosen with their debut A/W10 collection.

The main concept for uncommon creatures is bringing the wearer along a timeless journey where the aesthetic motifs of different ethnic communities act as a common thread through all the collections. A part of our ideology is to make the ethnic prejudices transparent and reinterpret them so they become less "dangerous" as subject matter. All reinterpreted in a monochrome, stylistic and raw uncommon creatures universe. The result is a daring collection, at times showing through a dark mood, that focuses on perfect wearability and a combination of pure, raw designs, age-old traditions and contemporary trends, all topped with plenty of charm and mystery.

ALEKSANDR MANAMÏS

The raison d'être for Aleksandr Manamïs is found in the controlledeffortlessness. The slouchy layering adds an easiness to the clothes, andhidden details give it an opacity similar to the one found in the human mind.Elements of draping mixed with an underground-vibe show the versatility of theclothes.

The colour scale is kept in dark shades for both summer and wintercollections. Prints and applications will rarely be found on an AleksandrManamïs garment as all attention goes to the complexity of the details ratherthan to loud colours and trimming stealing attention from the craftsmanship.
